About
Hi there! I’m Anton Weibull, a 26-year-old adventurer, photographer, food lover and now blogger etc. etc. from Denmark. My adventure in Uganda kicked off in 2018 when I first arrived in this lively country. Right from the start, I was drawn in by its amazing culture, friendly people, and, most importantly, the delicious food! Uganda soon felt like my second home.
During my first six-month stay, I discovered tasty local dishes like Rolex and Kikomando. Every meal was like a new adventure, and I made it my goal to find the best local eats by visiting different restaurants all over the area. I was not only excited to enjoy these tasty meals but also wanted to learn how to make them myself at home.
Since that first trip, I’ve gone back to Uganda many times, gathering over two years of incredible memories in this stunning country. Each visit has made me appreciate Ugandan culture and food even more, and I love sharing my food adventures with friends, family, and other food lovers.
At Just a Food Blog, my goal is to highlight the amazing food traditions of Uganda by exploring its local dishes. Here, you can find a variety of fun content, like interviews with skilled Ugandan chefs, real recipes you can make at home, and interesting facts that show what Ugandan food culture is all about.
I want to bring together food lovers, home cooks, and anyone interested in Uganda through the wonderful stories and recipes that shape the Ugandan cuisine.
Come along with me as I celebrate the flavors of Uganda and share my journey of exploration, from the busy streets of Kampala to the peaceful countryside. Let’s dive into the heart of Uganda together, one delicious dish at a time!
