Languages used in Uganda

Uganda is home to over 70 different languages, with Luganda being the most widely spoken, especially in the capital region. English is also commonly used, and kids start learning it in school as early as age 4. The official languages are English and Swahili, but fewer people speak Swahili compared to English and Luganda.

When you’re travelling Uganda, you don’t need to stress about language barriers because English is widely spoken, and you can always find someone who understands it.
