This Classic Greek Frappé is a great way to start your day in Uganda
Just by its name, you can tell that Greek Frappé isn’t from Uganda. But it’s a fantastic drink to enjoy in the sunny mornings! I’ve made it many times while in Uganda, and that’s why I wanted to share the recipe with you.
But what is the greek frappé?
Classic Greek frappe is a popular iced coffee beverage that originated in Greece. It was first created in the 1950s by a Nescafé representative during an international trade fair in Thessaloniki. So to say, nothing to do with Uganda.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 dl Cold Water
- 2 tbsp Instant Coffee
- 3 dl Milk
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
Instructions:
- Use a shaker or something similar (eg. Jar with a lit) to vigiously shake the instant coffee, water and sugar together for atleast 30 seconds until it becomes foam.
- Add ice cubes to 2 glasses and evenly divide the foam between the glass.
- Add 1,5 dl of milk to each glass, and enjoy the greek frappe.
